नाममन्त्र-महिमा
Glory of Naam-mantra
हे मर्त्याः ! परमं हितं श्रृणुत वो वक्ष्याम संक्षेपतः ।
संसारार्णवमापदुरमिबहुलं सम्यक् प्रविश्य स्थिताः ।।
तस्मादुत्तरितुं यदीच्छथ नमो नारायणायेत्यमुम् ।
मन्त्रं सप्रणवं प्रणामसहितं प्रावर्तयध्वं मुहुः ।।१।।
O people, listen this saying of ultimate benefit. In summary, this oceanic world has countless waves of adversity. Enter here cautiously. If you want to get across this ocean then continuously sing the Omkar Mantra "Namo Narayana" with humbleness and reverence.
मधुरं मधुरेभ्यो˜पि, मङ्गलेभ्यो˜पि मङ्गलम् ।
पावनं पावनेभ्यो˜पि, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।२।।
Tender than the most tender, Mangal than the supreme Mangal and pure than the purest is only the name of Shree Hari.
आब्रहृमस्तम्बपर्यन्तं, सर्वं मायामयं जगत् ।
सत्यं सत्यं पुनः सत्यं, हरेर्नामैवकेवलम् ।।३।।
Maya permeates throughout the universe from Bramha to the smallest shoot. But truth, truth and the only truth is the name of Shree Hari, nothing else.
स गुरुः स पिता चापि सा माता बान्धवो˜पि ते ।
शिक्षयेच्चेत्सदा स्मर्तुं, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।४।।
The real teacher, father, mother and friends are those who incessantly encourage you to sing the blissful name of SheeHari.
निःश्वासे नहि विश्वासः, कदा रुद्धो भविष्यति ।
कीर्तनीयमतो बाल्यात्, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।५।।
No one can decide when the respiration stops, it can cease any time. So practice singing Hari naam (name) since very beginning. Hari naam is the ultimate zest of whole universe.
हरिर्वसति तत्रैव, यत्र भागवता जनाः ।
गायन्तिभक्तिभावेन, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।६।।
Hari resides in the place where there are the devotees of Shree Hari. The Sadhakas, the devotees always sing the only name, Hari, with absolute dedication and passion.
अहो दुःखमहो दुःखं, दुःखाद् दुःखतरं यतः ।
काचार्थं विस्मृतं रत्नं, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।७।।
The most distressing thing or the worst thing is that we have been collecting the pieces of glass instead of collecting the jewels of Hari naam. The real wealth or jewel is only the Hari naam.
दीयतां दीयतां कर्णौ, नीयतां नीयतां वचः ।
गीयतां गीयतां नित्यं, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।८।।
Listen, O listen, get it through your ears, understand my saying and always sing the Hari naam, sing again and again. Remember there is nothing except Hari naam.
तृणीकृत्य जगत्सर्व राजते सकलोपरि ।
चिदानन्दमयं शुद्धं, हरेर्नामैव केवलम् ।।९।।
This whole world is no more than a minute shoot, and Shree Sachhidananda Bishuddha Hari naam rules above all. It is the supreme. So, always sing the name of Hari.
